The framing is fantastic. That is certainly the first thing I noticed about this piece. Before the shutter even opened this shot had context, depth, subject and intent. Then came the well worked colors, lighting, contrast etc. Some shadows are lost and some highlights are washed, but the picture maintains itself through the majestic expanse we see before us. The closest thing I've seen in person to this was while hiking through the Rockies and I must say, this captures the feeling of awe quite well. It fills me with the desire to get to the other side of the image, the exact feeling I had while walking amongst mountains. If an image can fill me with that desire then it's certainly a strong one. Well done. : )
